Old boss texted me to tell me I'm fat now

I quit my job because to be honest my store manager targeted me and was always trying to catch me in a lie.. that never existed. When my daughter had Co id he texted me all day demanding me to come in. He would retaliate and cut hours when you didn't do what he wanted. He

would show up late everyday and say that he was using his lunch break to come in late. Even lied about jury duty and made other people work his shifts. Anyway, I came in to pick up some photos I had printed, talked to a old co worker had a great catch up then hours after I left my old manager texted me

"Hey I was gonna say hi to you earlier when you came in but you left before I had the chance. What have you been up to since leaving CVS? Just wondering because it looks like you've put on a lot of weight, like you are FAT! Allie said that you were (or still are) working at a bakery, those cupcakes must be real good!" Proves to me I made the right choice quitting. Insane behavior.

    Other workers shared their sympathies.

    • tracygee 12h ago Send that text to the owner and just say "Thought you might want to know what your employee says to people."
  • 06
MissAnth • 12h ago Forward the text to his boss. Tell his boss that this is how he treats *customers*. You are a * customer* now. They will care about how he treats customers, even if they don't care how he treats employees.

Transportation|||581 • 12h ago Also this is why cvs is trash now, I've heard way too many stories from staff about managers that act just like this. It's gross.

    • ArkayLeigh 12h ago Tell him it's nice to know you're living rent free in his head. Without his text you'd have never even thought about him.

Gracieloves 10h ago • Yep post screenshot on his linkdin "Hey, I got your last message. I wish you well in your new adventures" with screenshot
  • 10
And since you're a customer, post a review on Google maps. Name him and post screenshot. And send email to CVS HR. He is not gone yet. This will look bad for him.

Goldman250 12h ago How long has it been since you stopped working there, and he's still got your number? That'd make me a little uncomfortable. If it was me, and I was to respond, I'm pretty sure my response would be "I'm not your employee any more, please delete my details from your phone."

Have a look online to see if you can find the area manager's contact information (or relevant manager who oversees this store manager), and send on screenshots and an explanation of this manager's behaviour towards you.

that_one_wierd_guy • 12h ago . hit up corporate with "I know you're cool with treating employees like sh. but I don't work there anymore so put this in his place or I will. and drag ya'll along for the very public ride"

Tomlette1 • 11h ago Jesus Christ imagine being that miserable. That's a w¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ld thing to feel compelled to do/tell someone. He really must be missing you

AnastasiaSheppard • 11h ago "I can afford to eat now that I no longer work for you" or "yeah, something about working with you used to really make me lose my appetite"
  • 17
SuckerForNoir Robots 10h ago I'd write back "And you're still a jealous, miserable I see. I'm glad you didn't take up any of my precious time, you're not worth those minutes."

TulsaOUfan . 6h ago My ex-mentor, boss, and who I once considered a friend, called me drink one evening to tell me he heard my wife was leaving me and that he was glad. That he hoped my marriage, business, and life fell apart completely.

My entire life did fall apart, but I survived. He on the other hand, ate the barrel of his shotgun one night in his million dollar home. Lesson learned Jason. One of the lessons you taught me is that sometimes to win you just have to outlast the other guy. Well, it looks like I beat your a

knight714 10h ago . Maybe CVS won't do anything, but it'd teach him a lesson if you found his partner/children on social media and let them know what he's really like

dinosaurscantyoyo 6h ago Typical narcissist. I swear you meet one and you've met them all. I'd say something like, "You're not attractive enough to be mean to people. I'd be offended if you were someone worth giving a sh about. You should consider developing a

redeeming quality." Because that's the core of it. He just wants the power over you. The last narcissist I've dealt with collapsed into himself like a dying star when I offered a similar line up, and I don't regret it.

ItAllWent19 11h ago • Right. So you are no longer an employee, if you were picking up photos, you are a customer. Take it up with corporate at that angle.

gorkamustang • 10h ago I'd text back with "Good you didn't ruin the day with your presence, appreciate it." Inmediate block after pressing send.

J1mjohnson 9h ago Pick something wrong with him, something you know is true, paint it in a bad light, make it sound 50% worse than it is, phrase as if it's a compliment. That's exactly what he's done to you.

Tell him something like: youre proud of how secure he is even when his hair is thinning as much as it is, not many people would be so bold!
